The Bachelor of Science (Hons) Biotechnology provides candidates with the opportunity to blend theory with real-world applications by exploring the diverse uses of biotechnology. This includes everything from harnessing antibody engineering to combat diseases, enhancing agricultural productivity through genetic plant engineering, and delving into the intricacies of vaccine development, cell and tissue culture technologies, and more. Furthermore, candidates can delve deeper into crucial biotechnology issues like intellectual property, adhering to regulatory standards, and ensuring both the quality and control of biotechnological products. We’ll equip you with the knowledge to implement quality management systems within the biotechnology field, ensuring the safety and reproducibility of your products and technologies.

By pursuing this degree, you’ll gain the skills necessary to assess the market potential and financial feasibility of innovative offerings, such as vaccines, diagnostic tools, transgenic plants, functional foods, advancements in biopharmaceutical drugs, and cultured meat.     Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or another Canadian provincial high school diploma.
